Mount Baker Craftsman

Mount Baker Craftsman
The Mount Baker Craftsman is a thoughtfully restored 1912 home nestled in one of Seattle’s most historic neighborhoods. With Mount Baker Park just steps away, this elegant residence blends the charm of early 20th-century architecture with the function and style of contemporary living. Strong original bones and rich character made it an ideal canvas for a design that honors the past while embracing the present.
To ensure historical continuity, new woodwork was custom-sourced and finished to integrate seamlessly with the original details, preserving the home’s authenticity. Traditional elements such as original millwork were paired with a refreshed material palette, resulting in a timeless fusion of heritage and modern sensibility.
Inside, the design layers warm craftsmanship with clean, modern furnishings to create an eclectic yet cohesive space. The result is a home that feels rooted in history but perfectly attuned to today’s way of living — a graceful balance of old and new.
